Hot off the hype of their first release, our boys Midnight Conspiracy are back with a dreamy dubstep remix of Esser’s “Headlock”. Having turned Chromeo’s “Night by Night” into a synth-happy, italo-disco banger, which climbed all the way to the #2 AND #5 spots on Hype Machine, the group went the totally opposite direction with “Headlock”. Wobbling bass and a slowed down tempo completely transform the sleek pop anthem into a dark, throbbing shadow of its former self. Though these releases represent polar ends of the electro spectrum, both mixes have proven.. when they hit the button, you start dancing.
